Rafael Nadal wins French Open, equals Borg’s record

Spain’s Rafael Nadal won the French Open final on Sunday (Monday in Manila) beating Roger Federer of Switzerland, 7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1. With the win, the 25-year-old Nadal equaled Swedish tennis great Bjorn Borg’s 6 titles at Roland Garros. Nadal won the first two sets, but Federer stormed back in the third as Nadal lost focus. However, Nadal made up for it in the 4th set, breaking Federer twice and winning all the points in the final game. Federer has never beaten Nadal in the French Open Finals. Nadal defeated Andy Murray in straight sets in the semi-final, while Federer beat Novak Djokovic. Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer (Highlights Video) Final Roland Garros 2011
