Many homeless people wander from each corners of Manila. You can see them near the sidewalk and other public places. Each of them has their own stories. Some have families that are still alive but are driven away. Some lost their way. They all live different lives before they become homeless. But whatever the consequences are, their families need to know the condition they are in. And with the help of modern way of communication, let’s just hope that social media sites could serve as a bridge for these families to be united. A concerned citizen saw this old woman roaming on the streets with blood on her clothes. Maricel Lontoc, a Facebook user who uploaded the photo on the social media approached her and asked what had happened. The old woman related her story and said that some people gave her alcohol instead of the water she was asking for. Drunk by the alcohol, she felt dizzy and injured herself. She is lost and does not know where she exactly at. The original post on Facebook read: Many people lost their sense of humanity, even for the old and disabled individuals that instead of helping them, they put them in a critical situation that could endanger their lives.
