Viral: A Japanese TV show reenacted the “Tanim-Bala scam”!

The embarrassing incidents about the “Tanim-Bala” gang at the main airport of Ninoy Aquino International Airport has gone even to international news. Now the “Tanim-Bala” scam has already reached the Japan’s shore and it goes viral online. Footages of the Japanese tv show were shared and posted in social media sites such as Facebook and Youtube. The Japanese television depicted the modus operandi of the officials of the NAIA airport after the current incidents. For whoever is planning to go and travel to the Philippines, this serves as their warning. They presented a demonstration of how the bullets are planted in the luggage of unaware passengers. This is where the officials scan the bags while the police detect the bullet and later extort the passenger. There was also showed two backpackers at NAIA with their bags wrapped with plastic. It is said that in the video, the man in the blue suit explained that the “Tanim-Bala” scam has victimized many Japanese tourist and has been happening for over the years. This is something undeniably true. Because on the 26th of October, a Japanese passenger, 33 years old Kazunobu Sakamoto from Tokyo was charged with illegal possession of ammunition after two bullets were found inside the pocket of his shirt. This only shows that throughout the international news, this is how the Philippines is being embarrassed.
