Think: Words can be harmful than you think. It can change’s a child’s life – for the worse!

Many parents and teachers of today do not realize the devastating impact of every negative word they say to every child. More often than not, these verbally abused children bring their emotionally damaged personalities into adulthood—and it has shocking consequences as times goes by. There is this saying that goes: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” Yet name – calling does hurt – especially when the person doing it is a parent, a teacher, or a coach. Scolding might strike you as a natural and effective form of discipline if you were brought up with it. But for children it can cause emotional trauma that result in long – lasting harm that can lead them into something that a society may fear or maybe not. Most parents at some time find themselves feeling frustrated and angry with their children. But talking calmly to them is a lot better, than lashing out at them in anger. The Center for Psychological Research in Shenyang, China is concerned about the rise in juvenile crime in their place. Their studies later on showed that how they act as adults was linked to childhood emotional abuse. As children, their parents would often call them names – some even saying they’d rather ‘go away and die’. Those words have been converted into weapons—and now they are using those weapons against others. These words turn them into a monster that no one knows them anymore. As a reminder, words can be emotionally and psychologically damaging – do not verbally abuse your children nor those person even they commit something that hurts or disgust you.
