SSS Educational Assistance Loan Program (Educ-Assist)

“study now, pay later” scheme implemented by the Social Security System or SSS for its members who is experiencing financial dilemmas for their own education and their beneficiaries’ (which may include the spouse, child, and unmarried sibling). The program is called SSS Educational Assistance Loan Program (Educ-Assist) which is available for all its members who have paid at least 36 monthly contributions and who are in good standing. The loan-able amount will be maximum of Php 15,000 per semester for degree courses and Php 7,000 for vocational courses. This student loan can be paid on a low interest of 6% per annum. Requirements for application of SSS Educ-Assist include: SSS ID or two (2) valid IDs, accomplished application form, and assessment or billing statement issued by the school of member/beneficiary.
