A graduate of the Ateneo Law School (ALS) topped the 2012 Bar Examination, the Supreme Court announced Wednesday, March 20. Ignatius Michael Ingles led the list of passers, with an 85.64% rating, Supreme Court Martin Villarama announced in a press conference. Six out of the 10 bar topnotchers are from the ALS (two tied for 5th place); 4 are from the UP College of Law; and one from Aquinas University in Legazpi City. LI, Carlo Martin C., Ateneo de Manila University, 83.270% 10. TIOPIANCO, Francis Paolo P., University of the Philippines, 83.250% Villarama said the passing rate of the 2012 exam is at 17.76 percent. He said the multiple choice format of the examination made it harder this year. With this, the SC en banc agreed that the format will compose only 20% of the 2013 exam.
