Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino Bed Scene Video Puts ‘Party Pilipinas’ on MTRCB 6 Months Probation

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has placed “Party Pilipinas” – GMA-7’s Sunday musical variety show – on a six-month probation due to the sexually-charged scenes in Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino’s dance number on the show’s January 27 episode. While on probation, Party Pilipinas shall be placed on a per-episode basis which means that any violation of the MTRCB rules, laws, and regulations would mean placing the program off air without prejudice to other sanctions. MTRCB, through its Chairman Eugenio Villareal, also asked GMA-7 to apologize on-air using a full screen video on February 10 Sunday. In addition, the same public apology shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation on or before February 9. As posted in MTRCB website: MTRCB orders Party Pilipinas to air public apology over 27 Jan 2013 sexually-charged scenes during this Sunday’s episode MTRCB also directs public apology to be published in a newspaper of general circulation by 09 February 2013 MTRCB places Party Pilipinas on PROBATION, subject to per episode review, for SIX (6) MONTHS MTRCB orders responsible officers, director, producer of Party Pilipinas to undergo gender sensitivity training.
