Residents in these areas are advised to be alert against flashfloods and landslides. Sea travel is risky over the western seaboard of Southern Luzon and over the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon and of Visayas. The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today. Synopsis: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Typhoon “ODETTE” was located based on all available data at 410 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.9°N,126.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Forecast: Batanes group of islands, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of islands and Apayao will experience stormy weather. Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Mt.Province, Ifugao, Abra and Kalinga will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Metro Manila , the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest over the rest of the county and the coastal waters over these areas will be moderate to rough seas.
