Pair of creepy hands appeared mysteriously in the group photo that was taken at the base of Mt. Kinabalu. Captured using a mobile phone camera and a Nikon camera, the said photo was taken after a 5.9 magnitude earthquake on June 5 that shook Sabah. After giving donations intended for the victims of the earthquake, Persatuan Komuniti Bugis Sabah (PKBS) posed with mountain guide Mhd Rizuan Kauhinin for a shot. Samasuddin Yusop, the PKBS vice-president who also appeared in the photo said that it was real and has not been modified at all. He believes that these photos are trying to impart a very important lesson. “The image could be a reminder to keep in mind the victims who had lost their lives to the earthquake.” The 2015 Sabah earthquake claimed the lives of 18 people on Mount Kinabalu and also regarded as the strongest earthquake to hit Malaysia since 1976. It was said that most of casualties were Singaporean students from Tanjong Katong Primary School.
