PBA player Ali Peek was shot and wounded by a lone gunman in Mandaluyong City

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino-American professional basketball player Ali Peek was shot and wounded by a lone gunman in Mandaluyong City on Monday night. Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin, Mandaluyong police chief, said Peek was rushed to the Medical City hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound in the nape. Bolalin said the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. at the parking lot of RFM Gym on Pioneer St., Mandaluyong City. Peek plays for Talk ’N Text team in the Philippine Basketball Association.
